Church life

Picture

Sunday Mornings

Our Sunday service begins form 10:30am and typically consists of a time of modern worship and relevant bible-based teaching for adults and older youths, while suitable activities are provided for younger children to enjoy after worship and during the teaching times.

At the end of the service (usually around 12pm) we enjoy refreshments in our coffee area whilst those who would like someone to pray for them simply move towards the front of the worship area at this point.

Visitors are always welcome and we hope you can be with us soon!

Life groups

"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another!" Hebrews 10:25

This is why we meet together in small groups during the week to share our lives together.

Our intention is to encourage each other in our faith, to provide love and support when life gets tough and to celebrate the good times too.

Lunch Club

Our over-60s Lunch Club meets on the first Monday of the month (except on Bank holidays when its moved to the 2nd Monday).

A two-course lunch is served at the church at 12.45
pm and costs £2.50. All the food is freshly cooked in our kitchen by a team of volunteers who care deeply about the folk who come.

The lunch itself is not the only thing that happens. Some really good friendships have been built up through the years, and people find support and love,
together with advice and practical help, as they share the meal.

Each year in the autumn, we have an outing, and at Christmas there are some carols along with the festive meal.

Twins and Multiple groups

The Twins and Multiples Group meets at our church premises and is for friendship and support for familes and carers. It is held each week on a Wednesday morning from 10am to 12. For more information please contact us

Mission Support

One of the most important things that we can do is to support those who feel called by God to serve Him in other parts of the world.

The Mission Support Group at CCC is a vital link in that role.
It has two main functions:
  • To support the missionaries we have sent out.
  • To keep both leadership and the church fellowship fully informed of those we are supporting.

We are the sending church for the Pett family who are serving with Mission Aviation Fellowship in the Northern Territory of Australia. As such we have made ourselves responsible for ensuring that their financial needs are met, so that they can concentrate on serving the Ylongu people and showing Jesus to them by their service.

We also support missionaries in China and other parts of the world.

The purpose of our Mission Support Group is to enable the church to fully participate in the mission of those we support and to suggest fresh mission work to become involved with.
